Aakash Chopra names top 3 all-rounders; Check out.

Ben Stokes

Recently, Aakash Chopra posted a video on his YouTube channel; citing his opinion about who is the best all-rounder across all three formats.

Aakash stated that as the topic is, ‘who is the best all-rounder across all three formats’, the list is very small. He also added that there are many all-rounders; who are exceptional in one format but not so good in other formats. He explained by giving the example of Andre Russell. He said that Andre is king in T20s; but in ODIs or Tests we don’t even hear his name.

He stated that he’ll pick all-rounders based on their performance for their respective teams. Here’s Aakash’s list.

3: Ravindra Jadeja

He picked Ravindra Jadeja as the third best all-rounder.

He said, “Jadeja is a thumbs up for me in tests. In ODIs, his average his good but he hasn’t scored much runs. Albeit he is a phenomenal fielder, I’ll put him at no.3”.

In 49 tests Jadeja has scored 1869 runs and took 213 wickets. He has played 165 ODIs, scoring 2296 runs and has 187 wickets under his belt. In T20Is; he has scored 173 runs and took 39 wickets in 49 matches.

2: Shakib Al Hasan

Aakash stated, ” He could’ve been no.1 on my list; if he wasn’t serving the ban. He has been a consistent performer for some time.”

Shakib has 3862 runs and 210 wickets under his name in 56 matches. In 206 ODIs, Shakib Al Hasan has scored 6323 runs and took 260 wickets. In T20Is; Shakib has scored 1567 runs and took 92 wickets in 76 matches.

1: Ben Stokes

The in- form allrounder is the first pick of Mr. Chopra. He said while picking him:

“At this point of time, there is no doubt in my mind that Ben Stokes is the number one all-rounder in the world across all three formats. He has an average of 43 in Tests, 59 in ODIs over the last two year.”

“He has a good bowling average across all formats as well, there is no doubt that Stokes is the number one all-rounder in the world across all formats,” he added.

A good list by Mr.Chopra indeed!
