The veteran Indian spinner, Harbhajan Singh becomes the second person after Suresh Raina to pull out of IPL 2020. He said he pulled out due to ‘personal reasons’.
“Dear Friends I will not be playing IPL this year due to personal reasons. These are difficult times and I would expect some privacy as I spend time with my family. @ChennaiIPL CSK management has been extremely supportive and I wish them a great IPL Stay safe and Jai Hind,” Harbhajan tweeted.
Replying to Harbhajan Singh’s tweet Chennai Super Kings’ twitter handle replied,”Stay strong Pulavarey, will miss you in yellove!”
They also confirmed Harbhajan has pulled out of IPL.
“Harbhajan Singh informed us he won’t be available due to personal reasons. Team Chennai Super Kings is supportive of his decision and stands by him and his family during these testing times.”
Last week, due to the fact that 13 members of CSK’s camp tested positive for COVID, their training was delayed. Though they held a brief training camp in Chennai.
Talking about Bhajji’s stats, he has played 160 matches in IPL and took 150 scalps. He has taken 23 wickets in 24 outings for CSK. Additionally he has scored 829 runs in IPL.
Well, it seems like Harbhajan’s exit wouldn’t affect CSK as they already possess; the likes of Karn Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja and Piyush Chawla at their camp.
Though it is likely to be seen which players Chennai Super Kings’ choose to replace Suresh Raina And Harbhajan Singh.
