Once again Mahi finishes off in style. What a day he chose to announce his retirement!!

MS Dhoni suddenly announced his retirement through social-media handle, Instagram. “Thanks a lot for ur love and support throughout.from 1929 hrs consider me as Retired”, read the post of the formal announcement.

Though he didn’t specify the formats he’s retiring from. Though; he will most probably play IPL this year. In international arena; MSD’s stats are amazing. He has played 538 matches; scoring a whopping 17266 runs. He has scored 16 centuries and 108 fifties; with an average of almost 45(44.96). Behind the stumps he had took 634 catches and stumped other batsmen 195 times.

Mahi retires as most successful Indian captain in ODIs and T20Is; as he helped India to win 2007 T20 World Cup, 50-over World Cup in 2011 and the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy.

Considered as best friend of MS Dhoni; Suresh Raina also announced retirement.

Suresh Raina has played 322 matches across all formats for India. He has scored a total 7988 runs for his nation. He has 7 centuries and 48 half-centuries under his name.
